Ah, tis the close of a most auspicious day, November 20, 2020. Let us pause to note the perfect symmetry of the day — 20.11.20 — which we shall not see again for a hundred years! Such balance! In this world of ours, which is most pathologically askew? 20.11.20! This day is like a gift.

Moreover, the day conveys a sense of double returns! Consider the way in which the number two is interwoven and displayed in all its variegated strength! Therein I see a promise of “double portion blessing.”

Indeed, let us receive the day as a glowing promise, in the twilight of our year of great trial: “Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you” (Zech 9:12).
