“Fait accompli!”

We’re happy to report ‘Mission Accomplished’ on this short visit to Zambia.

Not that we are lacking in more to do! But we have had some beautiful breakthroughs during our forty day visit, all for the best of causes, and are really leaving with a sense of fait accompli.

(1) We targeted a couple of church plants which badly needed help.  In fact Rogers Kabwe’s half finished church roof had been completely blown off in the heavy December rains!  Our Christmas Offering reinforces the structure, restores the roof — and allows this strategic congregation a chance to grow.

(2) We were able to visit our old friend Oliver Mulenga’s church in Luwangwa for a very gala Sunday morning, complete with a great Kids Choir (short video attached).  We left Oliver with a portion of the Christmas Offering for vehicle repair — he uses his ageless Toyota for his Advocates For Life pro-life ministry.

(3) And what timing!  Church planter Brian Changwe was just recovering from a horrific road accident!  In fact, it nearly took him to heaven express!  It was north of Serenge at night.  A Tanzanian transport truck forced him off the road and disappeared into the night.  Meanwhile, our graduates Brian and Kelvin Chola, were left bleeding in the ditch.  Miraculously enough, some angelic visitors drove by and noticed the headlights deep in the brush. They stopped, pulled them out, and delivered our profusely bleeding Brian to the Serenje Hospital — where there happened to be a surgeon on site!  They stitched up a broken nose, stopped the bleeding and probably saved his life!  We were so happy to use our Christmas Offering to help Brian get his life and wonderful Kasama ministry ‘back on the road!’

(4)Solar Power!  What a welcome sight!

  • Davis & Shirtliff (who have been in Zambia since 1948) rolled onto the grounds last week;
  • And installed two solar centres in one long day!
  • The price was right and they will provide service!
  • Solar panels on the roof of Administration and Library….
  • Solar power reaching all the vital corners of the campus 24/7!

(5) And now, as the sun sets on our Twalishuka home, we are looking back at some very fulfilling times.

 Twatotela Sana Mukwai!
